Introduction
In this article, we will cover how you can use location-specific inventory metafields in Onport.
This feature allows you to extract inventory location information that your vendors may use - for example, vendors may have different warehouse information per SKU.
Overall, this tool allows using metafield transformation to convert non-readable fields from the vendor store into the inventory field that Onport would normally recognize.
Although most vendors typically do not use metafields for location-specific inventory tracking, this feature will be highly beneficial for syncing this information seamlessly to your marketplace.
How to set it up
To use this tool, go to Inventory > Inventory feeds > choose feed > click the feed name > Inventory and Prices tab:
1. Map the data by entering the names of the metafields that contain the information in the text box;
2. Fetch the feed;
3. Information will now be pulled correctly into Onport.
❗️Disclaimer: if the vendor changes the metafield value on their end, it will only change in the Onport's channel the next time it is published.
