Introduction

Onport allows you to sync dropship purchases directly out to a vendor's ShipStation account. This article will explain how to establish a connection between your Onport account and your vendor's ShipStation account.

❗️If you are looking for instructions on how to connect Onport to your own ShipStation account, you'll need to read our guide on integration ShipStation for in-house shipments.

Getting Started

To get started, you'll need to retrieve the API key from your vendor's ShipStation account. You can find details on how to do this on the ShipStation support docs. These can then be added to Onport:

Within ShipStation, Onport will automatically provide a link to a branded packing slip within the notes section. The name of the retailer will also be visible within the notes section as well so help distinguish dropship orders from their own orders. Finally, the source will also be set to the retailer's name.

If your vendor has multiple different stores, you may want to add the Store ID. To find the store ID, the vendor will need to go to Selling Channels > Store setup and click on Edit next to the store they want to connect to Onport. The URL then will display a number at the end, which is the Store ID. This number needs to be pasted into the field in Onport.

Once items are shipped in ShipStation, the tracking details will automatically be imported back into Onport and into your Shopify store.
